Book Week
Book Week is a special time at our school where we celebrate the love of reading. Students get the opportunity to dress up as a book character for a day and parade to our school community. We also run a Scholastic Book Fair throughout the week.
Grandfriends' Day
Grandfriends' Open Day is held each year. Grandparents, families and friends come along to enjoy activities around our school. It’s a meaningful opportunity to honour the special bond between generations around our school community.
Athletics carnival
The carnival involves a number of different sporting events held across K-12 on our school sporting fields. We are proud to support all students reaching zone, regional & state representation. Students are encouraged to dress up in their house colours - Mungo (red) and Yanga (green).
NAIDOC celebrations
Each year we celebrate and recognise the history and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This is an opportunity for our school and community to learn about First Nations culture and participate in a range of activities.
Swimming carnival
One of the first whole school events of the year is our swimming carnival. This is a great community event for K-12 swimmers. Enjoy the P&C BBQ poolside, as you cheer for Mungo or Yanga swimmers. BCS swimmers are able to qualify for zone, regional & state representative teams.
Public Education Week
Public Education Week is a celebration of NSW public education and the achievements of our school, teachers, & students. We hold a range of activities during the week, including an open day for our families to see the incredible learning experiences happening every day at BCS.
